Did he remember?

The sounds of Confederate gunfire echo along the shore of the Mississippi, as a runaway mother rows her son to safety in a ramshackle canoe. This is the true story of Augustus Tolton, a man who was born into slavery, escaped to freedom, and became known as “The First Black Priest in America.”

Tolton won Gold in the 2021 ADDY Awards, and was recognized nationally.
